Product Care

Gorky Pottery-  The pottery should be cared for as a work of art.  They are not dishwasher safe or microwavable.  Wash with soapy water and rinse.  Dry immediately. 

Fine Inlaid Wood-  These food-safe mango wood pieces are sealed and therefore do not need to be oiled. Simply wipe them with a damp cloth. Due to the crevices from the inlay we recommend placing a barrier between non-solid or "wet" food and the surface of the piece. 

Sculpture-  Our sculptures are hand crafted and cast with ground stone in the USA. These craftsman apply the finish by hand, therefore the finish is water soluble. Use a dry cloth to gently clean. Do not immerse in water. 

Fine Linens-  Our Dacron and Polyester fabrics are machine washable, gentle or hand wash cycles recommended. Line dry and steam iron on low setting while damp on underside. Fabric will retain crispness, therefore does not require starching.

Our lace fabrics and tapestry runners are dry clean only.  


Kaese Spaetzle

8 oz. spaetzle
3 strips of bacon
1 medium onion
2 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 Tbls. parsley
Salt and Peper
1 cup shredded swiss or emmenthaler cheese

Bring salted water to a boil. Add noodles and turn down to a simmer. Cook noodles according to package directions, until noodles are al dente. Brown bacon, reserving two tablespoons of fat in the pan. Crumble bacon. Brown onion and garlic until translucent. Add noodles, bacon and parsley. Salt and pepper to taste. Add cheese and cover until melted. 

German Sauerkraut

1 jar Henstenberg white wine sauerkraut
1 large onion, minced
2 Tbls. butter
8 strips of raw bacon,c hopped
2 Tbls. caraway seed
2 Tbls. brown sugar
White wine (optional)

Drain sauerkraut and squeeze out excess juice. Brown onion and bacon in butter until onions are translucent. Add sauerkraut, caraway seed and brown sugar. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add white to taste if desired.
